Lazada launches new Laz Mama Shop offering groceries at a discount
Deals include a 40 per cent daily flash sale to help households deal with the global rise in food prices.
In a bid to keep groceries more affordable for Singaporeans, Lazada announced the launch of its new LazMall store, the Laz Mama Shop on Thursday (Apr 21).
An alternative grocery offering, the new store opens with 6,000 essential grocery items from cooking essentials to beverages and snacks. It caters to consumers that are looking to shop for dry, non-perishable products for their everyday needs.
The range of items come from a variety of well-known international and homegrown brands such as Kleenex, F&N and Ayam Brand. Products from these stores are categorised as Daily Best Price Essentials on the website.
To reduce the strain on shoppers’ wallets, the store offers exclusive discounts such as daily flash sales with discounts of up to 40 per cent. It also introduces a new Flexi Combo Deal that applies to only the Daily Best Price Essentials products available in store.
The purchase of five Daily Best items are eligible for a discount of four per cent, six items for a five per cent discount, and seven items for a discount of six per cent.
All the discounts offered under the Flexi Combo Deal are offered on top of the discount from the daily flash sales.
As you proceed to checkout, there is also free shipping for orders over $40 and a nine per cent Everyday Cashback rebate eligible for all items that have the Laz Mama Shop icon.

The launch is one of the various initiatives Lazada is currently implementing on its main platform, as well as supermarket service RedMart, to keep daily necessities more affordable and accessible to Singaporean households.
Another initiative that was introduced was RedMart Inflation Busters. It entitles RedMart shoppers to a five per cent daily discount on a selected range of 200 grocery products identified as daily essentials, specially curated for the needs of every household.
This is inclusive of products from RedMart Private Label (RMPL), RedMart’s flagship brand that focuses on providing sustainably sourced products at affordable pricing.
These initiatives tap a $50 million pool to support Singapore shoppers, via cashback and other platform features.
Another current feature already in place is Everyday Cashback, a rebate on the Lazada platform that provides shoppers with cashback on a growing list of over 600,000 items across product categories like Home & Lifestyle, Electronics and more.
By buying eligible cashback products, shoppers will earn credits that can be used to claim Lazada vouchers and also offset future purchases.
