KTM train service between JB and Woodlands to resume on Jun 19
Ticket sales have started on Monday (Jun 13).
The Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) train services between Johor Bahru (JB) and Woodlands will resume from Jun 19.
The service, also known as the Tebrau Shuttle service, is one of three modes of public transport connecting Woodlands and Johor Bahru. It was suspended for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ticket sales for the train rides between Jun 19 and Jul 18 began on Monday (Jun 13) at 3am.
There will be 31 daily trips – 18 from Johor Bahru Sentral to the Woodlands Train Checkpoint and 13 from Woodlands Train Checkpoint to Johor Bahru Sentral – available.
The first train from both Woodlands and Johor Bahru departs at 8.30am and the last train departs at 11.45pm. The services will operate at a 30-minute interval. A ticket for a trip from Johor Bahru to Woodlands will cost RM5 (S$1.56), while a ticket for a trip from Woodlands to Johor Bahru will cost S$5. Children below four years old can ride for free.
The train has a maximum capacity of 320 passengers.
