CBD dwellers, rejoice! Korean fried chicken brand, Phat Fingers has opened its first retail outlet at Telok Ayer, after operating online on delivery platforms across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand since 2021.
Opened on Friday (Oct 28), the outlet was set up by food tech company TiffinLabs, in partnership with former Cathay Pacific Airlines cabin crew members who now run the store.
Patrons can expect mains like Korean fried chicken, burgers, rice bowls and shaker fries, with a selection of Korean beers and sojus.
If you’re one who can tolerate the spice, the brand does serve some pretty hot dishes that will give you that kick of spice you’re looking for. Mains like the Classic Yangnyeom Tenders ($9.99) and Classic Yangnyeom Burger ($8.99) are options you can consider.
You can also take it up another notch and challenge yourself to the Nuclear Spicy Xtra Hot Burger ($8.99) which features the Nuclear Spicy sauce, made with Ghost peppers – the world’s hottest chilli pepper.
There are friendlier choices for those who can’t take spicy food, like the Psy’s Famous Chicken Burger ($8.99) which is made with the house special Soy Garlic sauce, and the K-Rice Bowl with Chicken Poppers or Cutlet ($7.99).
Alternatively, you can opt for the Chicken Poppers ($7.99), Chicken Tenders ($9.99) or Chicken Wings ($11.99) with the sweet-tasting Honey Butter sauce.
For sides, there’s Kimchi ($2.50), Kimchi Slaw ($2.50), Cheese Fries ($4.50) and Shaker Fries ($4.50) which comes in flavours Mala, Seaweed and Wasabi.
In honour of the chi-maek (chicken and beer) culture, you can also treat yourself to alcoholic drinks like soju ($13.50), Hite beer ($6.50), Kumiho Relax ($12) and Hunchback Ipa ($12).
