Kipling launches Doraemon collection with six bags featuring the iconic character
The bags come in different sizes that fit everything from small laptops to keys.
Kipling released its latest collection on Sep 26, this time featuring the popular Japanese character Doraemon.
The collaboration with the iconic robot cat from the future consists of a handbag, shoulder bag, mini tote bag, backpack, phone bag and bucket bag, with prices ranging from $65 to $219.
All the bags have a Doraemon-printed inner lining and a unique metallic charm, which is an abstract interpretation of Doraemon’s collar bell. The bags also come in red and navy blue, loosely referencing Doraemon’s signature colour scheme.
One of the bigger bags in the collection is the Doraemon Delia. It is a backpack with red stripes on its shoulder straps for an extra pop of colour.
Doraemon Hip Hurray is a drawstring tote bag that can be worn by the handles or the drawstring’s straps. It is big enough to fit daily essentials such as an umbrella and a small laptop.

The collection also offers bags that are of slightly smaller sizes.
The Doraemon Labi is a medium drawstring bucket bag with a detachable red strap. There is also the Doraemon Gabbie Mini – a smaller version of Kipling’s Gabbie shoulder bag. It has an adjustable strap, a large main compartment and multiple organisational pockets.

The compact Doraemon Superfun is a phone bag for short trips when only small items are necessary.
The smallest bag in the collection, the Doraemon Mini Art is a mini version of Kipling’s iconic tote bag which features a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap as well as multiple compartments. It can also be used as a keychain on a larger bag.

The Doraemon Kipling collaboration bags are now available at all Kipling boutiques across the Asia-Pacific region.
Doraemon will also appear at the National Museum of Singapore for The Doraemon Exhibition starting this November, its debut outside of Japan.
