Fast-food joint KFC has launched a collection of National Day-themed reversible bucket hats in collaboration with streetwear designer Amos Yeo, better known as Amos Ananda.

Following last year’s release of 11 apparel and accessories, the new collection will showcase designs with popular Singaporean landmarks, such as the Toa Payoh dragon playground and ice cream push carts.

Each hat is priced at $29.95. The collection will be available from 12am on Aug 7 via KFC’s official website, while stocks last.

“The modern stylistic expression with the digitalised dragon motif playground and the old school reference of the ice cream bicycle pushcart area reference to the present webspace and how far Singapore has progressed over the years into a thriving developed nation,” said designer Amos Yeo.

“I looked to the past to find inspiration to create a design with the message of looking forward to a bright future without forgetting where we came from,” he added.
