K9 Assistance organising walk at Marina Bay in support of assistance dogs and their handlers with disabilities
This will be Singapore’s first walk celebrating the bond between persons with disabilities and assistance dogs.
Local charity K9Assistance will commemorate its third anniversary with its first fundraising event on Apr 3.
Held at The Promontory at Marina Bay from 8pm to 10pm, the K9 EmPAWer Walk 2023 is in support of assistance dogs and persons with disabilities (PWD).
Participants are allowed to bring their pets along the 5km walk, provided they are comfortable in being around large groups of people and other animals.

The funds raised will be channeled towards the organisation’s vision of bringing about a more empowering culture for PWDs and their future assistance dogs in Singapore.
Joining the event will be Dr William Wan, General Secretary of the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM), which promotes public education programs aimed at cultivating kindness and graciousness in Singapore.
Tickets for the event are going at $50 and participants will receive goodies such as a tote bag, a pen, and refreshments. Those interested in supporting the charity can also donate any amount through its Giving.sg page.
