K-pop concert KCON 2020 will be livestreamed on Shopee
The one-week event from Jun 20 to 26 features concerts and virtual meet and greet sessions with K-pop artists Monsta X, MAMAMOO and more.
Good news for Kpop fans who were looking forward to KCON 2020 New York and KCON 2020 Japan, which were cancelled and postponed due to the global COVID-19 situation. It looks the show will go on for the next KCON 2020 event!
Now known as KCON:TACT 2020 SUMMER, the online event will feature a marathon broadcast of live and pre-taped content from over 30 K-pop artists, airing from Jun 20 to 26 (Sat to Fri).
The production for KCON:TACT 2020 SUMMER will take place at Mnet’s studio in Seoul, South Korea. K-pop fans will be spoilt for choice as 33 artists will be performing at the online event this year.

You can expect to see boy groups A.C.E, Astro, AB6IX, ATEEZ, Cravity, Golden Child, JO1, Monsta X, N.Flying, ONEUS, ONF, Pentagon, SF9, Stray Kids, The Boyz, TOO, Tomorrow X Together, VeriVery, and Viction.
If you’re a fan of girl groups, anticipate plenty of performances from BVNDIT, Everglow, (G)I-DLE, Gfriend, ITZY, IZ*ONE, LOONA, MAMAMOO, Nature and Oh My Girl.
Completing the star-studded lineup, soloists Chung Ha, Kang Daniel, Kim Jaehwan and Natty will be performing as well.
Be sure to check the lineup to find out which artists are having live meet and greet sessions, as not all 33 artists will be taking part.
Besides live concerts and meet and greet sessions, there are plenty of exciting activities and campaigns for fans such as a lucky draw donation event, ‘Live KCON-ers’ and ‘Fan Featuring’.
Every day, four artists will be featured in a four-hour ‘Live Concert and Meet & Greet’ event. The daily programming also includes ‘KCON:TACT Backstage Behind’, giving fans exclusive backstage footage with the artists.
You can stand a chance to win prizes like vouchers or signed merchandise from idols by taking part in daily K-pop themed streams and challenges. You might even get selected to appear on the live broadcast and interact with K-pop artists!
However, you may only apply for selected membership events if you are born before June 2000. This is to comply with international broadcast regulations that require fans who appear on the broadcast to be of legal age in their home country.

The livestream will be broadcasted on Mnet’s official YouTube channel, requiring viewers to join as a member with a fee of $27.66, including English subtitles.
A portion of the profits from channel memberships will be donated to UNESCO’S Learning Never Stops campaign. It aims to help students, who have been affected by COVID-19, to continue their studies.
Do note that the event livestream will only be available via Shopee Live for countries such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Even if you “join” and pay the fee, you will not be able to view the livestream on Mnet’s YouTube channel.
The good news is, Singapore viewers can still enjoy the livestream on Shopee Live for free via the Shopee app.
