JobStreet to hold career discovery carnival from May 12 to 13 at Dhoby Ghaut
The SEEKscapes carnival includes games with $24,000 worth of tuition fees as prizes for winners.
JobStreet by SEEK will host a career discovery carnival at the Dhoby Ghaut Visual Arts Centre from 11am to 6pm on May 12 and 13.
Organised in collaboration with the National Youth Council, SEEKscapes will include activities such as personality tests, career talks, and career coaching for participants.
There will also be games for participants to uncover career options for themselves and win prizes in the form of tuition fees.
Three participants with the highest scores at the games each day will receive $7,000, $3,000 and $2,000 respectively. Participants of the games will have to provide proof that they are 18 to 30 years old and currently studying or have the intention of further studies.
The event features 15 career talks by experts from various industries over two days.
Speakers on the first day include COO of SEEK Asia Lewis Ng, CEO of the National Youth Council David Chua, President of Burpple Macarthur Tan and May Chin, head of product growth and analytics at Zalora.
Second day speakers include Executive director of Mentoring SG Kelvin Kong, head of resorts (SEAA) and general manager of Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Gavin Weightman and cosplayer XiaoYuKiko.
The event also features live performances by the SIM Esprimere Singing Club and food options including Yole, The Grumpy Bear and Dome Bakery.
Free Yole or drinks will be given to participants who complete every task at the event, while stocks last.
