Jimmy O. Yang will hold his first stand-up performance in Singapore on Dec 8 as part of his global tour, announced Live Nation on Monday (Jun 27).
The acclaimed actor, stand-up comedian, writer and producer will perform at The Star Theatre at 8pm, a day after his Kuala Lumpur stop on Dec 7.
Ticket prices will range from $78 to $158, excluding booking fees. There will be a pre-sale exclusively for Live Nation members from 10am to 11.59pm via its website.
The general public can purchase tickets from 10am onwards on Jun 1, via Ticketmaster ticketing channels or at all SingPost outlets.
Hong-Kong born Jimmy moved to Los Angeles to start his career when he was just 13. He is prominently known for his starring roles in comedy films Love Hard and Space Force, where he was also a writer.
Jimmy’s debut comedy special Good Deal premiered on Amazon Prime in 2021 and excerpts of it have since become some of the most viewed stand-up comedy clips online.
He made his theatrical debut in 2017 by playing Dun Meng in Patriots Day, as well as the memorable Bernard Tai in Jon Chu’s 2018 global phenomenon Crazy Rich Asians.
Jimmy also wrote the book How To American: An Immigrant’s Guide to Disappointing Your Parents, where he shares his story of growing up as a Chinese immigrant and pursuing a Hollywood career against the wishes of his parents.
