If you have a vehicle and are willing to lend your wheels for a good cause, you can consider becoming a volunteer driver with ItsRainingRaincoats.

According to ItsRainingRaincoats, volunteer drivers will help to send migrant workers from far-off areas to the airport when their employers don’t make arrangements for them. They also occasionally help to pick up and drop off various bulky items.

Grab rides and cab fares are expensive for workers given the meagre wages many of them earn,” the organisation explained in a Facebook post.

“Our driving volunteers perform an invaluable service and we are so grateful to them,” they added.

ItsRainingRaincoats is a registered charity and aims to improve the lives of migrant workers in Singapore. According to the charity, the raincoat symbolises the protection they provide migrant workers from metaphorical thunderstorms.

Those interested in joining as a driving volunteer can send a private message to ItsRainingRaincoats via its Facebook page.

Youths who would like to offer their help in other ways can also visit its website to find out more about the projects ItsRainingRaincoats organises.
