In celebration of National Day, the Istana will host a National Day Open House on Sunday (Jul 17) with live performances and activity booths.

Entry to the Istana Grounds is free for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents and advance registration is not required. Other visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $2 per adult.

The Open House will include performances from 10am to 4pm by student groups from Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, Chung Cheng High School, Raffles Girls’ School and Seng Kang Secondary School.

There will also be two zones — Health and Wellness Playground and Arts and Crafts Adventure that will be set up in the vicinity.

The Health and Wellness Playground zone will allow visitors to take part in sports as well as traditional and carnival activities. Similarly, visitors can try creating balloon sculptures and participate in other hands-on activities at the Arts and Crafts Adventure zone.

Those who wish to enter the main building during the Open House can join guided tours conducted from 9.30am to 4.15pm. Visitors can view selected function rooms and a collection of State Gifts presented by Singaporean leaders.

Similarly, a Nature Guided Tour of the Istana’s Japanese and Inclusive Garden will be conducted from 10am to 4pm.

The guided tours will cost $4 for Singaporean and Permanent Residents and $10 for other visitors.

Food trucks and merchandise booths with limited-edition Istana and President Challenge souvenirs will be available. All proceeds will go towards charities supported by President’s Challenge.

In line with the current safety management measures, visitors should remain masked at all times when indoors during the Istana Open House.
