The first electric vehicle manufactured in Singapore, Hyundai’s IONIQ 5, is being showcased at a pop-up store in Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from now till May 21.

Visitors can get to know the next-generation EV’s “unique design, technology and experience” up close and personal, said Hyundai.

The IONIQ 5 is the first model under Hyundai’s new IONIQ battery electric vehicles line-up. This specific model is the first EV made locally at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore, and is equipped with fast charging speeds, advanced connectivity, driver assistance features and a Vehicle-to-Load function.

The pop-up store opens from 11am to 9pm on weekdays, and 10am to 9pm on weekends.

Those interested in taking the IONIQ 5 out for a test drive can do so by booking a test drive slot along a city route in advance, or by registering their interest at the pop-up.

During the duration of the pop-up store, individuals who register for a slot will stand a chance to win an extended three-day test drive with the IONIQ 5.

Hyundai is also selling the EV at the pop-up store. DBS and OCBC Bank users who purchase the vehicle there will get to enjoy a special interest rate of 2.08 per cent for their car loans.

Alongside the award-winning EV, visitors may also come across the robot dog Spot conducting quality inspections on the vehicle.

Spot can be spotted on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6pm to 8pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 8pm.

Visitors will be able to take pictures with it at the store.
