Interactive Lee Kuan Yew exhibition held Oct 6-Dec 31; features over 20 immersive rooms and sets showcasing life journey
The exhibition, titled ‘LKY: The Experience’, is held in commemoration of Lee Kuan Yew’s 100th birth anniversary.
A new exhibition dedicated to Singapore’s founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, titled LKY: The Experience, opens Oct 6 and will run till Dec 31.
The experience is curated by events company Lucid Experiences, in partnership with non-profit organisation The RICE Company Limited (TRCL) and Community Chest. Located at 11 Prinsep Link in a three-storey building, it spans over 17,000 square feet.
Visitors can expect to learn about the lesser-known sides of Mr Lee’s journey – from “a carefree young boy to the founding father we all know today”.
The exhibition features three zones: The Moments, The Beliefs and The Unwritten.
The Moments includes interactive sets depicting Mr Lee’s fondest childhood memories, formative years, life as a husband and father, and turning points that have shaped his political views.
The Beliefs, located at Level Two, features themed rooms with interactive games inspired by Mr Lee’s experiences, ideas and values. Visitors can expect an obstacle course and rainbow slide as well, representing his iconic quote, “Follow that rainbow, go ride it”.
Last but not least, visitors can proceed to Level Three and end their experience at The Unwritten, which aims to inspire one to write their own story and live a life worth telling.

Alongside these ticketed zones is also a free showcase of 100 stories collected from everyday people on how Mr Lee’s legacy has made a difference to Singapore and their lives.
These people include Mr Lee’s own tailor, security team, chef, and even actors who starred in the movie and musical of his life – giving a glimpse into how Mr Lee was like outside politics.
Partial proceeds of ticket and merchandise sales will go towards over 200 critical social service programmes supported by Community Chest.
Tickets are on sale now at Pelago, priced at $18 for adults and $14.40 for senior citizens. Admission is free for children aged 12 and under, with the accompaniment of one paying adult.
The opening hours for LKY: The Experience are from 10am to 8pm daily, with the last entry at 7.30pm.
