Instagram adds new ‘Captions’ sticker for Stories
You can now auto-caption your videos in Instagram Stories.
Instagram is upgrading its accessibility features with automatic captions on Stories.
To enable this feature, users simply need to add a “CC Captions” sticker to their video story. Once added, speech in the video will automatically be transcribed.
Automatic captions may not always be accurate, especially for those with different accents. As such, users are able to edit their captions if there are any errors.

This feature comes in useful for users who are deaf or hard of hearing. It may also benefit those who do not speak English as their first language.
Other platforms that already include automatic captions include TikTok and Zoom.
Currently, this feature is only available in English and English-speaking countries, but it will eventually be expanded to other countries.
