Indian company offering 20-day bus ride from Singapore to India

With travel gradually resuming, Indian tour company Adventures Overland will be offering 20-day bus rides from Singapore to India and vice versa at the end of this year, covering a total of 4,500km across five countries in 20 days.

The company had previously organised trips from Delhi to London and vice versa as well, which took 70 days to cover 18 countries.

The trip will begin in Singapore and end in Imphal, Manipur, India in 20 days, travelling through Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar along the way.

Participants will travel in a modified luxury bus which can hold up to 20 people.

When stopping over in countries, participants will be allowed to alight the bus to tour the city and have their meals. For those with dietary restrictions, such as vegetarians, there will be ready-to-eat Indian food packets provided, as well as a portable stove.

Travellers are advised to activate data roaming on their mobile phones for the countries they will be visiting, although most of the hotels they will be staying at will have in-room Wi-Fi. 

Adventures Overland has stated that they would stick to the planned route as much as possible, but participants should anticipate any changes due to weather conditions.

The trip from Singapore to India is slated to begin in December 2022, and the trip from India to Singapore in November 2022.
