Taxi rides will see an extension of its temporary location surcharges increase and one-cent fare adjustment till Jun 30, 2023.

This applies to taxis from ComfortDelgro, Strides Taxi, Prime Taxi, Premier Taxi and TransCab.

Strides Taxi shared in its Facebook post that the extension of temporary fare increase is to help their drivers cope with the continued increase in fuel and electricity prices.

Those travelling from Changi Airport from 5pm to 11.59pm will continue to see a $8 surcharge, and a $6 surcharge at all other times – an increase of $3 from the usual fare.

This also includes trips from Changi Air Freight Centre, Airport Police Station and Airport Logistics Park of Singapore.

The Changi Airport taxi ride surcharge was first raised in May to better ensure a better supply of taxis for passengers. Taxi companies further extended the surcharge till end 2022.

Trips from Singapore Zoo, Mandai Wonders and River Safari from 4pm to 11.59pm will continue to incur a $3 surcharge.

Distance-based fares for all taxi trips will continue to see a 1 cent fare increase.
