IMPACT 0581: BEFRIENDING THE ELDERLY AND ENRICHING THEIR LIVES
As a member of the volunteer group WeeVolunteer at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Glen Foong, 26, runs programmes for the elderly at the Jamiyah Home for the Aged. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his team explored ways to run programmes online for the elderly to engage and keep them company such as teaching them exercises through Zoom calls, and doing arts and crafts with them.
