IMPACT 0568: PASSIONATE ABOUT TEACHING AND IMPACTING STUDENTS’ LIVES
Keith Leo, 24, founded Lumie Lessons back during his schooling days. Since November 2021, they have provided volunteer tutors to several social service agencies in Singapore, such as the Singapore Children’s Society and Beyond Social Services. In addition, Lumie Lessons organise bi-weekly rental flat visitations to reach out to students living there. Their volunteers are currently providing virtual as well as on-site lessons for students from lower-income families.
This illustration showcases teachers of all ages tutoring students at the study tables that are shaped ‘L’, ‘U’, ‘M’, ‘I’, and ‘E’. It shows some of the work that Lumie Lessons does, including teachers doing door-to-door visitations to offer tuition to lower-income students. Meanwhile, Keith can be seen in the centre of the comic strip, cheering on the students.
