IMPACT 0556: BUILDING A PLATFORM FOR FOOD WASTE REDUCTION
Katrina Lee, 24, is the co-founder and CEO of a tech startup called Savour!, which aims to reduce food waste and insecurity while empowering organisations with savings via digitalisation. She built a one-stop business-to-business e-procurement and sponsorship marketplace web app platform which offers expiring, blemished, and surplus food. The platform will also be expanding to include corporate gifts, supplies, and services.
Passionate about the cause of environmental sustainability, Katrina actively volunteered in the non-profit sector in various capacities and worked at other social enterprises.
Since Savour! launched their website and mobile app, the team has grown from one to 10 members strong. Savour! also has over 3000 listings and more than 700 B2B customers as well as merchants to date.
This illustration shows a short comic strip about Katrina growing her startup, which revolves around the environment and can be well-represented by planting a seed.
