IMPACT 0409: IMPARTING VALUES TO THE NEXT GENERATION THROUGH SPORT

Hi! I’m Lionel Tan and I’m 24 years old! I’m a local football player for Hougang United Football Club. I’m passionate about football, especially for kids, as I believe it is a good way to  teach them values that are important in life.

When I was a kid, I was fortunate to be able to receive support and guidance from the right people and now, I wish to be an inspiration for someone else. I always believed that we are nothing without our fans; by coming down to our games and cheering us on, it really means a lot to us.

The best way I believe I can acknowledge their support is by getting to know them better – through conversations, photo taking sessions and giving away my extra jerseys as a way to thank them for their support!
