IMPACT 0182: CREAM OF THE CROP
After three years working at Restaurant À L’aise, in Oslo, Norway, Matthew Leong was appointed head chef. Now 27, he is Singapore’s youngest candidate to represent Singapore in Bocuse d’Or Finals 2021, a biennial world chef championship that will take place from Sep 26 to 27 in France, Lyon.
This prestigious competition has always been Matthew’s dream, and winning it would make him the youngest chef with the title ever. He hopes his esteemed work can bring Singapore pride and inspire other young chefs to aspire high too.
