IMPACT 0168: REGENERATING SOIL IN SINGAPORE

Han Jing is the co-researcher for the Soil Regeneration Project, a community-led project that looks into bringing life back into the urban soil in Singapore and to regional countries. The project is now on a two-year research in collaboration with NParks to regenerate soil in Singapore.

 

“HEALTHY SOIL IS THE BACKBONE OF FOOD SECURITY. WITHOUT IT, WE WILL NOT HAVE HEALTHY PRODUCE TO NOURISH OUR BODIES.”

“WHEN WE DESTROY SOIL, IT LOSES ORGANIC MATTER AND THE ABILITY TO HOLD WATER, WHICH LEADS TO PONDING AFTER RAIN.”
