IMPACT 0104: BEEHOON MOBILE FOOD TRUCK FOR STUDENTS

Ray Sheng is a year 3 undergraduate student at National Technological University majoring in computer science. When COVID-19 hit, he decided to fulfil his childhood dream of starting a business with Raydy Beehoon, a supper food stall — currently a mobile food truck — to provide affordable supper for students at their doorstep. He also started Raydy Gives #project365 to prepare about 100 meals daily for one whole year and donate it to a charity. For his efforts, he was awarded the President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Award by President Mdm Halimah Yacob.

“I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE THE RESOURCES TO HELP OTHERS AND I’M GRATEFUL FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.”

“I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER AND HELP IN YOUR OWN LITTLE WAYS.”
