IMPACT 0057: FOOD WITH THOUGHT
A graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, Lisa Tang, 26, was the nominee for the Rising Female Chef award at the World Gourmet Summit 2019 and runner-up for the 2014 Les Amis Awards Culinary Competition.
From her time in Primo, a restaurant on a farm that actively engages in zero-waste practices, she was inspired to start a social enterprise back home.
She founded Kausmo with Kuah Chew Shian, 28, and together, they hope to creatively repurpose aesthetically filtered fruits and vegetables that are overstocked, over-ripened, and oddly-shaped and sized.
