IMPACT 0023: KICKSTARTING GOOD
While volunteering might seem like a once-off commitment to some of us, Jonathan Tan, 34, views being an active community contributor as a way of life.
When the news of COVID-19 first started causing Singaporeans to panic buy essential supplies, Jonathan immediately thought of the more vulnerable communities who might be unable to get them.
He thus co-founded Contribute.SG, an initiative which encouraged the public to donate items like hand sanitisers and masks to redistribute to those who needed them.
His initiative was a success, and Contribute.SG redistributed more than 850,000 masks and 116 thousand bottles of hand sanitisers.
