IMPACT 0013: SERIOUS MONKEY BUSINESS
Dr. Andie Ang, 34, is a passionate primatologist who has dedicated her life to the study and conservation of primates. She is a research scientist with the Mandai Nature Fund and the Chairperson of the Raffles’ Banded Langur Working Group.
The Working Group is tasked with implementing the research and conservation of the endangered Raffles’ banded langurs in Singapore and Malaysia. Since 2016, the group has raised awareness of the langurs through at least 94 media articles and mentions, and Andie has given 44 talks about primates, local biodiversity and nature conservation in Singapore. She is also the president of Jane Goodall Institute Singapore (JGIS).
