Immerse yourself in Kampong Gelam’s rich Malay cultural atmosphere while glamping
Experience a two-day, one-night glamping stay on the Malay Heritage Centre’s beautiful lawn from Dec 15 to 24.
Feeling bummed about travel restrictions? Fret not, as the Malay Heritage Centre allows you to experience Malay culture, complete with a night spent glamping in tents on the Malay Heritage Centre’s lawn.
The event, called Kampong G(e)lamping @ MHC, will allow glampers to have a two-day, one-night stay between Dec 15 and 24. Registration starts at 12pm on Oct 23 and each slot can include adults and children two years and older. One group can have a maximum of five people.
Experience the sights and sounds of Kampong Gelam during a guided tour in the day, where you will see the iconic murals of Haji Lane, learn about the lesser known facts about Sultan Mosque and see other places of interest in the area.
At night, enjoy a traditional Malay dinner of Nasi Kerabu and sambal tempe prepared in an outdoor area by a personal chef.

In the evening, return to two gorgeous tents set up on the lawn of the Malay Heritage Centre.
One will include two queen-sized beds and a hammock, while the other will be for a night-time cinematic experience equipped with a projector screen, speaker and bean bags.
The tents will undergo deep cleaning, sanitisation and disinfection after each group leaves.
