IKEA’s new outer space-themed collection, AFTONSPARV, will launch in IKEA Singapore stores on Sep 28 and online on Oct 1.

The collection was created in collaboration with young children aged three to seven, and aims to encapsulate their creativity and enthusiasm for space.

Among the offerings of various space-themed furniture is a range of stuffed toys made of recycled materials. This includes two aliens, a mini Earth and a small troop of animal astronauts – a bear, a cat, and a rabbit.

IKEA added that a portion of the profit made from the plushies will also go towards social causes. Each purchase of a soft toy between Sep 28 and Oct 15 will see IKEA Singapore will donate $1 towards the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN), which provides “special education, vocational training and employment support services for individuals with special needs”.

The Meet and Greet is available across IKEA Tampines, Alexandra, and Jurong. Specific timings and dates are available on IKEA’s Activities page.

New quick bites will also be available from the IKEA Swedish Market from Sep 28 to Nov 30. The desserts include butter cookies (containing wheat flour, sugar, butter and icing), and macarons (containing almond flour, egg, sugar, and food colouring).
