IKEA Singapore to sell 12-inch hotdogs, give out exclusive merchandise Apr 27-May 1 as part of 45th anniversary

IKEA Singapore is hosting exclusive promotions and activities at all outlets from Apr 27 to May 1 in light of its 45th anniversary this year.

The promotions cover both its home-furnishing and food products, while the activities include movie screenings and meet-and-greets with the IKEA mascot.

These are the upcoming deals that are in store:

IKEA Singapore has come up with two exclusive collectibles specially for this event.

A long pencil, a spin-off from their original short pencil, can be claimed with any purchase from the IKEA store or with IKEA food. There is no minimum spend required.

Redemptions for the pencil are limited to the first 120 IKEA customers of every day of the event.

The other IKEA merchandise available at the event are the mystery socks, redeemable with at least a $90 home-furnishing purchase on a single receipt at IKEA. Only 1,200 pairs of socks can be claimed at each IKEA outlet daily from Apr 27 to May 1.

Collection of IKEA Singapore’s exclusive collectible long pencil and limited-edition IKEA socks can be done at the ground level for IKEA Alexandra, outside the third-level store entrance at IKEA Jurong, and level 2 at IKEA Tampines.

A 5 per cent discount will be applied on all home-furnishing and food purchases for IKEA Family members, for 45 days from Apr 27 to Jun 10.

UOB card holders who spend at least $150 on a single transaction at any IKEA store are eligible for an IKEA gift card worth $10, while stocks last.

The popular As-is Auction will be brought back to the IKEA Alexandra and Tampines outlets from Apr 28 to 30, at 8pm onwards.

Products from the range will have their starting bid prices set at a fraction of the original prices. Customers may then stand a chance to outbid others, getting IKEA goods at a better deal.

The classic hotdog will soon be offered in a special 12-inch edition. Customers may get a 12-inch ala-carte hotdog for $1 (U.P. $2). If they choose to order it in a set with a Nordic cold drink, they may do so at IKEA Alexandra and Tampines for the discounted price of $1.60 (U.P. $3.50).

Crowd favourites, such as the eight-piece Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables (U.P. $6.90), eight-piece plant balls with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables (U.P. $6.50) and four-piece chicken wings (U.P. $6.90) will all be available at $4.50 per meal throughout the event.

IKEA Family members may also enjoy a special price of $45 on three packets of 1kg Meatballs (U.P $56.70) at the Swedish Food Market.

IKEA Gift Cards and products can be won through participating in simple mini games during the event.

All IKEA outlets will also be screening PG-rated films like Avatar (2009), Frozen (2013), Black Panther (2018), Encanto (2021) and Turning Red (2022), available from 2pm to 7pm on Apr 27 and 28, as well as 12pm to 10pm on Apr 29 to May 1.

Customers who join the Conga line activity with local 8-man samba band Sambiest across the IKEA showrooms will receive a token of appreciation.

The Conga activity will commence at 3pm on Apr 29 for IKEA Tampines, 3pm on Apr 30 for IKEA Alexandra and 3pm on May 1 at IKEA Jurong.

IKEA’s JÄTTELIK dinosaur mascot will also be roaming around each outlet, offering photo opportunities. Appearance timings vary across stores.
