Those looking to encourage their parents or grandparents to stay fit can take part in a variety of activities, educational talks and workshops at the Healthier SG roadshows from Jul 8 to Nov 5.

The roadshows are part of the Healthier SG initiative by the Ministry of Health (MOH) which aims to help those aged 60 and above take steps towards better health and quality of life. However, people of all ages are welcome to take part in the activities.

It will feature the four-zone STEP experience, an acronym that represents Healthier SG’s four key pillars: Step into the Healthier SG journey; Take time to stay active; Eat well, live well; and Participate in community activities.

Visitors can enjoy musical performances such as African Drum and Kalimba, and watch celebrity chefs create healthy meals while sharing cooking tips.

They can also learn more about Healthier SG and nutrition with Mediacorp artists like actress Aileen Tan and radio DJ Pan Jia Biao, or take part in a quiz challenge with director Jack Neo.

Exclusive giveaways are also available to those who attend the programmes. Visitors can redeem items such as tote bags, towels, and caps while stocks last.

According to organisers, visitors must collect at least two stamps from the roadshow to get a chance to spin the wheel. The wheel will decide the item for redemption. An additional chance can be obtained by collecting all four stamps at the roadshow.

Registration for Healthier SG can be made via the HealthHub app, or through enrolment stations at community centres and joint testing and vaccination centres.

The first roadshow is held at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, Ficus Green from Jul 8 to 9, between 9am and 6pm.

More details on the Healthier SG roadshows and its programme schedules can be found on the website.
