Haw Par Villa to hold Halloween event Oct 27-29; features free puzzle hunt, curated booth market

Visitors can expect a series of Halloween-themed activities at Haw Par Villa in Haw-Ror Villa 2!, the second iteration of the theme park’s horror event.

Organised in celebration of Halloween and the second anniversary of the Hell Museum, the event will be held from Oct 27 to 29. It will feature events like a park-wide puzzle hunt and art jamming workshops.

For individuals looking for a haunting experience, get ready to visit Hell’s Museum in Haw Par Villa after dark. A special Halloween themed event titled Hell’s Museum After Hours will be held from Oct 28 to 29. At this event, visitors can enter the museum after its operating hours from 7pm to 12am to enjoy the exhibits at night.

Early bird tickets to Hell’s Museum After Hours are available until Oct 22, and are priced at $20 for adults and $12 for children. Bundle deals are also available for larger groups. 

Tickets bought after the period will cost $22 for adults and $14 for children. Interested visitors can head to Peatix to purchase tickets for this event.

A puzzle hunt called Ransack: Haw Par Villa Halloween Special, will also be held throughout the theme park. The hunt will be available on all three event days from 3pm to 11pm. 

Players will uncover hidden tales of Haw Par Villa through the game. They will also have to use their wit and creativity as they solve various challenges in Ransack: Haw Par Villa Halloween Special.

At the end of the puzzle hunt, there will also be a special Halloween treat awaiting participants.  

The puzzle hunt is a free-to-play activity and will also come with a complimentary puzzle kit. The game will begin at The Sixth Milestone in Haw Par Villa. 

Featuring an array of local vendors and crafters, Shaman’s Market will be held from Oct 28 to 29. 

This Halloween-themed market will be located at The Sixth Milestone in Haw Par Villa. A wide range of products will be sold, including cake pops, ceramics, crystals and jewellery.

At Shaman’s Market, visitors can expect to see booths manned by local businesses like Bleepsg, Dirt and Wonder and Dillydallydally. 

Admission to the market is free. It will be open from 3pm to 11pm daily.

Art Journey, a cafe and art jamming studio, will celebrate its official launch within Haw Par Villa by hosting a themed mosaic art jamming workshop. Held from Oct 27 to 29, 9am to 12pm, participants can customise art pieces with tiles and bisques.

Other Halloween activities at this location include tarot reading by The Friendly Neighbourhood Witch and face painting.

Halloween-themed food and beverage items such as a ‘Ghostlychee’ drink will also be sold at the cafe. 

The activities are suitable for all ages and will be open to the public. 

Visitors can look forward to a pop-up party, Blackout Agency V9.0, from 9pm to 3am on Oct 28. 

This party will feature DJ Midland, renowned for his genre-bending sets. Local DJs Shigeki, Meraki Soul and Amber & Emma are also scheduled to perform at the event.

All tickets (except for Student Tickets) will come with one free X-Sparkling, a soda with vodka liqueur. One-for-one drinks will also be available for purchase at the event from 9pm to 11pm.

A second party titled Secret Sunset Full Moon Halloween will also be held as part of Haw-Ror Villa 2! on Oct 29 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. This silent disco dance party will be held at Former Villa, the highest peak in Haw Par Villa.

At this event, party-goers can dance to themed music against the backdrop of a sunset overlooking the Pasir Panjang PSA Port.

Attendees are also encouraged to come dressed in their favourite Halloween costumes to the event.

Aside from the activities held as part of Haw-Ror Villa 2!, members of the public can also visit Haw Par Villa at night to enjoy the ambient lighting and projections throughout the park.
