Guoco Tower’s ‘Spirit of Gifting’ to be held till Dec 25; features human claw machine, concert series

Guoco Tower is ringing the year-end Christmas festivities with a series of events, activities and an opportunity to grant gift wishes to children and youths from less privileged families from Nov 30 to Dec 25.

Members of the public can expect a series of activities including a human claw machine and giant gashapon machine, holiday craft market, live performances at the Urban Park and a community initiative for children and youths from disadvantaged families.

With every $30 spent at Guoco Tower, shoppers are entitled to one try at the human claw machine and one try at the giant gashapon machine.


Shoppers may redeem up to three tries for the human claw machine on combined same-day receipts, with additional tries priced at $5 per game play. PHOTO CREDIT: GUOCOLAND


Prizes include a 2D1N stay at Sofitel Singapore City Centre, beauty products from Porcelain Skin, dining vouchers from Wagatomo, Gyu San and Dosirak, and Guoco Tower shopping vouchers.

The human claw machine will be open at Urban Park between Nov 30 and Dec 10 from 12pm to 8pm and the giant gashapon machine between Nov 30 and Dec 25 from 12pm to 8pm at the Mobile Concierge at Urban Park. 

Shoppers can also help fulfil 300 wishes by children and youths aged two to 20 from less privileged families from Nov 30 to Dec 15 between 1pm and 5pm. The wishes are displayed on the “Wall of Wishes” at Guoco Tower’s office lobby. 

The effort is in support of Beyond Social Services and in collaboration with the Tanjong Pagar Gives Back initiative by Discover Tanjong Pagar, the Tanjong Pagar Business Improvement District association.

The Holiday Craft Market, featuring trinkets, accessories and handcrafted holiday decorations by local crafters, will be held from 1pm to 5pm between Dec 5 and 18 at the B2 Atrium. 

There will be a concert series with a line-up of local performers performing holiday songs at the Urban park from 12pm to 1pm and 7pm to 8pm on Dec 2, 9 and 16, and 7pm to 8pm on Dec 3,10 and 17.

To kick off the concert series, children from the Mulberry Learning Centre will perform at 12pm on Dec 2.

Over 40 F&B retailers including Pura Brasa, Gyu San, Wagatomo, Sycamore and L’Arte Pizza & Focaccia, as well as Racines restaurant at Sofitel Singapore City Centre, will offer festive menus and dining promotions.
