Golden Village celebrates 30th anniversary, live busking performances on Aug 6
The collaboration with the Buskers Association will feature well-known buskers such as singer Jason Yu and circus act Robin Curtis.
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Golden Village (GV) has teamed up with the Buskers’ Association to provide an evening of live busking performances as a form of thanks to its audiences.
Set to integrate street culture and support local talents, the event, Lights, Camera, Busking, LIVE! will take place on Aug 6, held at GV’s VivoCity branch. The line-up of buskers include singers, dancers and circus acts.
The event will kick off with an LED Dance by hiphop dance act Flavamint, followed by the main performance that will run for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The main performance will include live music sets by local buskers and musicians Angie Goh, Jason Yu and Arya Yunata.
Angie is best known for her covers of Mandopop songs on TikTok while Jason and Arya are known for their busking performances in areas like Orchard.
The performance will also include a circus act by flowarts/hula hoop act Bryan ‘Brylights’ Wong and juggler Robin Curtis.
Lights, Camera, Busking, LIVE! will run from 5.30pm to 8.45pm on Aug 6. Tickets for the event cost $12 for GV members and $14 for members of the public and can be bought here.
Besides the performances, GV will also offer cinemagoers various promotions on movies from Jul 21 to Aug 31, in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
This includes promotions such as three all-day Movie Tickets for $30 (usual price $43.50), a Gold Class Platter priced at $30 (available at all Gold Class Lounges) and a Friday-to-Sunday bundle deal that includes a pair of tickets for any movie screening and two regular popcorn at $30 (usual price $43).
Patrons can purchase two movie tickets at any GV Box Office or Automated Ticketing Machine to redeem coupons that offer discounts on movie tickets and food.
The coupons will allow customers to purchase Friday to Sunday movie tickets at $11 (usual price $14.50), Monday to Thursday movie tickets at $8 (usual price $10.50), a Sjora Popcorn Combo at $8 (usual price $10.80) and a Regular Popcorn and Hotdog Combo at $13 (usual price $16).
