Gastrobeats festival will return to the Bayfront event space from Jun 1 to 25 with food, live music acts and two play zones.

The large-scale lifestyle event will feature 50 food vendors such as chicken wing specialist Jeffo’s, Italian-American eatery Mia Tavola and Mexican cuisine from Papi’s Tacos.

Originally located at Ming Arcade at Cuscaden Patio, Jeffo’s is now serving seasoned wings with house-made chili sauce along with other bar bites at Duxton.

Italian classics such as lasagna, meatballs and spaghetti with arrabiata (spicy tomato marinara) sauce can be found at Mia Tavola. With a culinary school background in Brooklyn, Chef Nick of Mia Tavola serves these dishes with a New Yorker twist.

Chef Maurizio Espinoza, endearingly referred to as Papi, presents authentic Mexican cuisine to Gastrobeats. Tacos, burritos and quesadillas are only some of the dishes offered at Papi’s Tacos.

The food lineup for the event is specially curated by Singaporean competitive eater Zermatt Neo.

Local artists – such as 53A, Shirlyn & The UnXpected and Jack & Rai – will perform live music sets during the event.

53A is a local band with a range of genres in their discography, who is most commonly recognised for being the feature act at the 2016 National Day Parade. Originally performing as a jazz duo, the band is now a five-piece musical collective who also showcases pop and rock in their live performances.

As the opening band for Jason Mraz and The Script in 2006 and 2013 respectively, Shirlyn & The UnXpected brings live entertainment with their repertoire of rock tunes and Top 40s pop.

Formed in 2002, acoustic and rock music duo Jack & Rai have had their songs Release Me and Pixelated in World Aids Day campaigns in 2008 and 2009 respectively.

Young visitors to Gastrobeats can also look forward to bouncing, sliding and climbing on the giant inflatable structures at the event.

The Galaxy Adventure Zone and Jumptopia attractions are specially curated for toddlers and young teens. Visitors to these attractions will need to purchase tickets, now priced at $15.60 on Pelago.

General admission to Gastrobeats 2023 is free.
