Gardens By The Bay Supertree light show returns to usher in the new year
Gardens by the Bay’s popular light and sound show, Garden Rhapsody, returns with 11 shows.
With Singapore in Phase 3 now, Gardens by the Bay is bringing the full version of its Garden Rhapsody light and sound show from January 8.
The show was previously cancelled due to the circuit breaker and though it was resumed sometime in September last year, it did not return as two-full scale shows.
This time, the show will see the lights of 12 Supertrees ‘dance’ to a musical soundtrack at the Supertree Grove.
The musical soundtrack and choreography of lights changes often and there are 11 shows planned for 2021.
“Singapore has come through a difficult 2020 and we hope this new year will be a better one for everyone. For the first full version of Gardens Rhapsody at Gardens by the Bay, we chose a particularly rousing soundtrack which we hope will uplift the spirit.” said Gardens by the Bay senior director of programming and events, Chua Yen Ling.
For the month of January, visitors will get to experience Garden Waltz, an uplifting compilation of waltz music from great composers, such as Frédéric Chopin’s Grande Valse Brilliante, Johann Strauss Junior’s By the Beautiful Blue Danube and Emile Waldteufe’s Skater Waltz.
The 15-minute show will return to its original 7.45pm and 8.45pm timing every evening and is free to the public.
While immersing in this magical atmosphere, face masks must be kept on at all times and safe distancing measures must be adhered to.
