Registrations are open for the first annual sports federation-endorsed global game development competition, Lv. 99 Game Jam.

Organised by Project 99, a global games publisher based in Singapore, the competition provides game developers and students from around the world a platform to submit innovative game concepts.

Hosted both online and on-site, the Lvl. 99 Game Jam is open to all game development enthusiasts of various experience levels and finalists will be selected through public play-testing and voting.

Participants stand a chance to win USD50,000 (S$67,000) in cash and prizes during the competition, and qualifying prototypes will also have the opportunity to be shortlisted for further development and investment opportunities through Project 99.

Interested participants can sign up by Apr 13 on the Lv. 99 Game Jam 2023 page, and will have to build a game from Apr 14 to 23. Participants can choose to compete individually or in teams of up to five members.

The theme of the year will be revealed via Discord and the Lv. 99 Game Jam website on Apr 14.

For overseas participants, Project 99 will provide flight and accommodation for selected representatives to attend the awards ceremony in Singapore.

Representatives from the top three teams will pitch to a panel of judges during the Olympic Esports Week happening on Jun 22 to 25.

There will also be masterclasses held by expert speakers on Apr 8 and 9, who will share development best practices and experience in game development and the industry.
