Free COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) self-test kits will be distributed to individuals who have visited Mayflower Market & Food Centre and Redhill Market, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Thursday (Jul 29).

The collection for the self-test kits will run from Jul 30 and Jul 31 at the Residents’ Committee Centres in the vicinity of these areas.

The testing will help in the ongoing investigations of COVID-19 cases by MOH involving markets and food centres which are likely seeded by fishmongers who visited Jurong Fishery Port.

MOH reported 129 new local COVID-19 cases on Thursday, including 50 unlinked cases and 10 new clusters have been identified.

Thirty cases are linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster, while two are linked to the KTV cluster.

COVID-19 testing for residents in Teck Whye Avenue and Yung An Road

All residents living in 3 Teck Whye Avenue and 357 Yung An Road will have to take mandatory COVID-19 testing after several positive cases were detected there, MOH announced.

Seven cases were found in four households at 3 Teck Whye Avenue, while four cases were found in three households at 357 Yung An Road.

Epidemiological investigations are ongoing to determine linkages and the source of transmission to these cases, MOH said.

Testing for residents of 3 Teck Whye Avenue will be held at the void deck of Block 1 on Thursday (Jul 30) between 9am and 4pm.

The test for residents of 357 Yung An Road will be conducted at the pavilion between the same block and Block 359 on Jul 30 between 9am and 4pm.

Testing is optional for individuals who were tested negative for COVID-19 from Jul 25.

MOH has distributed leaflets and sent SMS notifications to the affected households. All residents are also reminded to keep their appointment timing and consult a doctor if they feel unwell.
