Imagine how cool it would be to view our “Little Red Dot” like a SimCity game. With the Singapore Land Authority’s OneMap3D beta version launched Sep 17, now you can.

Here are four ways which Singapore Land Authority’s OneMap3D will let you see Singapore like never before:

1. Get a better sense of the view from a specific floor of any building

Rather than using real-life street photos, models and renderings are used to recreate buildings and predict how future ones would look in OneMap3D. This means that you can enjoy the view from a specific floor of any building.

Now is your chance to check out the views from Guoco Tower, the tallest building in Singapore!

2. Scout the surroundings of your future flat

Potential home buyers will be able to see the view from their new, or even soon-to-be-built home without physically having to be there.

Thanks to the 3D models and renderings, you can also check out the surroundings of your future flat.

3. Visit places that you miss, from home

With OneMap3D, you will be able to virtually visit buildings that you have stopped going to due to COVID-19.

Put a smile on your face as you view your old hang outs or even office building – if that’s something you miss during work from home.

4. Find the shortest path to your destination

The 3D visualisation also shows where ramps, lifts or entrances are located, making it easy to locate the best drop-off point.

OneMap3D also shows the shortest walking routes, and seeing your route and all the landmarks along the way in 3D will definitely reduce your chances of getting lost.
