Four uncapped players among 25 called up by Singapore women’s football national team for Tri-Nations Series

Eleven in the squad represent Lion City Sailors at club level.

Twenty-five players have been called up to the Singapore women’s national football team by head coach Stephen Ng for the upcoming Football Association Singapore (FAS) Tri-Nation Series 2022 hosted in Singapore.

Among the 25 players, 11 hail from Lion City Sailors at club level, with four from Balestier Khalsa, three from Still Aerion Women’s, two from Tiong Bahru, and one each from Albirex Niigata (S), Bussorah Youth Sports Club and Hougang United.

There are also two players based overseas – Putri Syaliza Sazali and Danelle Tan Li Ern – who are based in Florida ,USA and London, England respectively.

Four players – Clara Lau, Hazel Lim, Khairunnisa Khairol Anwar and Siti Nurerwadah – are uncapped and could make their national debut at the FAS Tri-Nations Series 2022.

Defenders Syafiqah Peer and Nadhra Aqilah and midfielders Mastura Jeilani and Nur Afiqah Omar have also been recalled. 

The Lionesses will face Seychelles on Apr 4 before taking on Papua New Guinea a week later on Apr 11. 

Both games will be played at the Jalan Besar Stadium and will kick-off at 8:30pm.
