Witness the Holiday Light Up at MBS, or enjoy numerous deals at The Tech Show 2022.
From Pokémon at Gardens by the Bay to dinosaurs at Downtown East, there’s much to look forward to.
Here are five things to do this weekend (Nov 18-20):
1. Witness the holiday light up of Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands’ The Holiday Light Up will see the place transformed into a Christmas wonderland with illuminations and special events.
Happening on Friday (Nov 18) at The Shoppes from 7.30pm, the light up will also feature a Christmas floating forest illuminated in bright shimmering lights, and an ensemble of around 1,000 Christmas trees dressed in fairy curtain lights along with three giant snow globes.
From Nov 18 till Dec 25, the three towers of Marina Bay Sands, and the ArtScience Museum, will also be lit up with animations and laser projections every night in the season’s colours.
2. Catch Pokémon at Gardens by the Bay

Aspiring Pokémon trainers can now purchase their tickets for Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Singapore.
The Pokémon GO event is part of a special Pikachu Weekend by The Pokémon Company, which follows the launch of Pokémon Air Adventures.
Held at Gardens by the Bay from Nov 18 to 20, players can expect to catch a myriad of Pokémon including Maractus, which is usually only found in Central and South American regions.
They will also encounter Pokémon themed around Pokémon Air Adventures, such as Flying Pikachu and Lapras.
General Admission tickets to the Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Singapore are at $17 and will grant access to gameplay within the event space at Gardens by the Bay from 12pm to 6pm on the buyer’s preferred day. Early Access tickets run for $25, where players can start their adventures at 10am instead.
Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Singapore attendees may only purchase tickets for one day of the three-day event.
3. Tour around Jurong Bird Park

Jurong Bird Park is offering $10 admission tickets for local residents from Nov 19 till its final day of operations on Jan 3, 2023.
Visitors can expect a variety of activities, including carnival games, rides, traditional hawker fare, and a Nostalgic Signature Tour.
Visitors can also get up-close with the birds through feeding sessions at the African Treetops and Waterfall Aviary.
To enjoy the promotion, local residents must sign up for a complimentary WildPass.
4. Spoil yourself with deals and discounts The Tech Show 2022

From Nov 17 to 20, visitors of The Tech Show at Suntec City can enjoy numerous deals and discounts on gadgets.
Being its first physical exhibition since 2019, this year’s show boasts over 70 exhibitors on its directory, including names such as Aftershock PC, Secretlab, Sonicgear, Philips and TikTok.
Visitors can find special discounts on items ranging from robot vacuums and massage chairs to wireless earbuds and gaming chairs. Some of these discounts are exclusive to The Tech Show 2022 and have limited redemptions.
With myhalo, visitors can also trade in their old gadgets for The Tech Show vouchers. After getting a quote on myhalo’s website, they can bring their device to The Tech Show for evaluation before getting paid. The devices will then be resold, recycled or upcycled.
The Tech Show 2022 will take place from 12pm to 9pm and admission is free.
5. Take part in the Mega Carnival at Downtown East

From Nov 19 to Feb 5, 2023, visitors at this year’s Mega Carnival can choose from over 20 stations of unlimited games, rides and activities all for one price.
Organised by Trip.com, the carnival will feature Virtual Reality (VR) experiences, dinosaur-themed attractions and more.
Those who would like to experience an immersive adventure can check out the VR station with four simulations to choose from, including a flight through the universe on a spaceship for an “out of this world” experience.
Visitors can also put their coordination skills and agility to the test by participating in the wheely fun obstacle course and navigating their way through colourful inflatable slides and mazes.
Tickets to the Mega Carnival are priced at $28 for non-peak, which entitles visitors to three and a half hours of play time, and $32 for peak timings, with two and a half hours of play time.
Tickets purchased by Nov 18 will receive a special early bird discount of 10 per cent on Trip.com.
