The good news we’ve been waiting for – the announcement of Phase 3 (Heightened Alert) measures, is finally here! Still, do remember that P3HA only kicks in on Jun 14, which means for this weekend we will need to continue to stick to social gathering sizes of two.

While we still do our part to stay at home as much as possible (COVID-19 is still lingering among us), it doesn’t mean that there’s nothing fun to keep us occupied.

Here are five things to do this weekend (June 11 to 13):

1. Register for your vaccination

From June 11, Singapore citizens aged 39-years-old and below can now register to get vaccinated from COVID-19.

Eligible Singaporeans will have to book an appointment via the Ministry of Health (MOH) vaccination page. However, those below the age of 18 would require the consent of their parents or guardian to book a vaccination appointment.

To date, the MOH has administered more than 4.4 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Find out more information here.

2. Go online shopping

The 6.6 – 7.7 Great Shopee Sale is back! Happening from Jun 6 to Jul 7, you can expect up to 28 per cent cashback at Shopee’s largest sale of the year.

There will be 28 flash deals throughout the day including the Xiaomi Mi TV P1, Samsung Galaxy S21 5G, Ergonomic Office Chair and Carote Fancy Green Cast Iron Casserole.

There will also be free shipping across all bestseller categories, as well as free bubble tea at 12pm daily.

3. Try the KFC Cheesy Zinger

Fast food chain KFC launched their Cheesy Zinger Double Down on Jun 4. The burger consists of a slice of cheese, turkey bacon and two deep fried Zinger fillets with cheese sauce.

You can choose to purchase it as a meal (S$9.50) which comes with medium fries and a regular Pepsi Black, or in a box (S$11.30), which comes with an extra piece of chicken, regular fries, regular whipped potato and a regular Pepsi Black.

The Cheesy Zinger Double Down is available via contactless takeaway and delivery.

4. Buy a Sanrio Pouch

From now till August, you can redeem Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin and Pekkle Duck mini silicone pouches at retail store 7-Eleven.

Each reusable pouch is 12cm-tall and comes with a loop at the top. However, they are only redeemable after you accumulate five stamps (you earn a stamp with every S$5 spent), plus top-up another S$8.90 for a random pouch design.

There will also be other Sanrio merchandise available for sale such as lunch boxes, tumblers and tote bags.

5. Get a new hand sanitizer

In other Sanrio news, disinfectant brand Walch Singapore has launched a new set of My Melody hand sanitisers.

Each bundle includes a 20ml Walch Hand Sanitiser, six refill bottles, and a My Melody bottle holder, which can be attached onto bags. Given the current pandemic, it will definitely be handy to carry it around wherever you go.

You can get it at a promotional price of S$13.90 at FairPrice stores, or S$13.50 on FairPrice Online
