School’s out! Kickstart the June holidays by treating yourself to some fun, new experiences.
Here are five things to do this weekend (Jun 3 to 5):
1. Try out Shake Shack’s latest Singapore inspired burgers

A Sambal Mayo menu unique to Singapore has just debuted across all eight Shake Shack outlets islandwide.
The new menu line-up consists of the Sambal Mayo Burger ($12.50), the Sambal Mayo Chicken Shack ($12.50) and the Sambal Mayo Fries ($7.90) and will be available for purchase till Aug 15.
2. Take some Insta-worthy shots at i Light Singapore

i Light Singapore will return for its eighth edition this year, lighting up Marina Bay from Jun 3 to 26.
Artworks first submitted in 2019 but could not be displayed at the time due to COVID-19 will be showcased as well.
i Light Singapore will be held from 7.30pm to 11pm daily, with extended hours to 12am on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free but charges apply for certain programmes.
3. Treat yourself to some good food and music at Gastrobeats

In conjunction with i Light Singapore, Gastrobeats will be bringing over a variety of food vendors, graffiti installations as well as local and international chefs to the Bayfront Event Space from Jun 3 to 26.
The lifestyle festival, which was last held in 2018, will also hold live performances featuring dancers, musicians and comedians. The full line-up will be released soon on Gastrobeats website.
Tickets for Gastrobeats General Entry will be priced at $9 and includes admission to Local Streets, Art Zone Graffiti and the live performances only.
Gastrobeats is open daily from 10.30am to 10.30pm.
4. Unwind with an island retreat at Sentosa

Discover the art of living well at wellness festival Zentosa Fest which features over 50 wellness activities such as masterclasses, sports workshops, beach-side glamping and outdoor performances.
From $5 spin classes and sound bathing sessions to free wellness talks and workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Enquiries and bookings of Zentosa Fest’s activities, workshops and talks can now be made via the official website. Activities and workshops at the festival have a flat fee of $5 per session, with selected ones free of charge.
Festival goers can also consider purchasing the Zentosa Wellness Pass, which allows them to participate in 12 activities and workshops for just $50.
5. Journey through a forest at the ArtScience Museum

A new virtual reality (VR) installation that allows participants to journey through a forest and interact with its ecosystem is showing at Singapore’s ArtScience Museum from now till Oct 2.
Titled We Live In An Ocean of Air, the installation is an immersive multi-sensory experience that engages all five senses in order to illustrate the symbiotic relationship between humans, animals and plants. It augments virtual reality with surround sound, scent and special effects to create the effect of being in a real forest.
To complement We Live in an Ocean of Air, a curated lineup of eight ecology-themed films called We Tread in a Garden of Spells has also launched at ArtScience Cinema. Titles include The Metamorphosis of Birds, 24 Frames and The Rider.
Tickets to We Live In An Ocean of Air are priced at $16 for adult Singapore residents and can be purchased at all Marina Bay Sands box offices and online.
