Five things to do this weekend (Jan 21-23)
This weekend is for the foodies!
Chinese New Year is just around the corner, so there are plenty of festivities this weekend!
For those who don’t celebrate, don’t worry. There are also plenty of stuff for you to explore too.
Here are five things to do this weekend (Jan 21-23):
1. See some lights

The Light to Night Festival is back with its sixth edition at the National Gallery, with over 60 experiences you can immerse yourself in.
Running from Jan 14 to Feb 3, the festival will take place at multiple locations in the town area, including the Esplanade, Funan, and the Padang. There will be live performances by local artists such as Sezairi, Inch and Kumar, as well as a festival market with various craft-making activities and personality-inspired claw machines.
Check out the full list of programmes here.
2. Get all your CNY essentials

Looking for places to get your CNY goodies at great prices?
Then you should visit Far Ocean, a warehouse in Jurong East, who is offering discounts up to 70% until the end of January as part of their annual CNY warehouse sale! Discounted items include steamboat and barbeque ingredients, CNY snacks and beverages.
The best deal of all? Abalones going at just S$1! Boy, we’re hungry already!
3. Snap pictures with Pokémon

It seems like the Pokémon craze will never die. West Mall has adorned its exterior and interior of the building with Pokémon-themed CNY decorations and it’s time for you to catch photos with ’em all.
Highlights include an enormous six-metre tall Pikachu in front of the mall, and another smaller-sized Pikachu inside the mall, accompanied by Grookey Pokémon card-themed displays.
You can also hunt down Eevee, Snorlax, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle, which are hidden in the mall.
4. Eat the prosperity burger

Let’s admit it. Other than receiving red packets, the other thing we look forward to every CNY is McDonald’s annual Prosperity Chicken Burger and Prosperity Beef Burger!
This year, they come either as a Single (from S$6.10) or Double (from S$8.10). You can also add Twister Fries at an additional S$0.80, and try out their all-new Strawberry Pie (from S$1.40) which has strawberry bits in a pastry pie.
5. Try a golden cereal chicken pizza

Another food option to consider this CNY is Pizza Hut’s new Golden Cereal Chicken Pizza! It is topped with crispy golden cereal prawns and complemented by chicken pops and curry leaves.
As part of the launch, Pizza Hut is offering Golden sharing boxes, which are bundle deals exclusive to the new pizza. You may also get the new pizza at 50% off for every two pizzas delivered or one pizza for takeaway.
The Golden Cereal Chicken pizza is available at any Pizza Hut outlet. For takeaway and delivery, customers can order online or through the Pizza Hut app.
