From the Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) to wellness activities, there is a wide range of events for everyone to look forward to this year end season.
Here are five things to do this weekend (Dec 9 to 11):
1. Visit the Singapore Comic Con at Marina Bay Sands

The Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) 2022 will welcome visitors for the first time since 2019 at Marina Bay Sands (MBS).
Held on Dec 10 and 11, attendees can expect a variety of content and exclusives from new and familiar exhibitors, gaming tournaments and even a gallery of the best submissions by budding creators.
Those who would like to visit can purchase tickets to SGCC on the Klook website. One-day tickets will be priced at $30 while two-day tickets will be available at $56.
SGCC will be held at Sands Expo and Convention Centre level 1 (Hall A & B) and level B2 (Hall D & E) from 10am to 8pm on both days.
2. Practice self-care and mindfulness at the Project Re:ground booth at Somerfest

Project Re:ground will be at this year’s youth festival Somerfest to bring a myriad of specially curated wellness activities to visitors.
Happening at The Red Box every Thursday, Project Re:ground provides one with opportunities to take part in activities that support in regulating mental well-being.
This Somerfest container takeover is a special edition of Project Re:ground where youths can have a taster of what happens at The Red Box during regular sessions.
Arts and crafts enthusiasts can take part in activities which include painting, colour by numbers, sticker by numbers and free sketching. Those interested in journaling will be provided with journal books, stickers, markers and stamps.
Others who are up for a challenge can try out sudoku and crossword puzzles. Visitors who would like to partake in some self reflection can also consider using the self-exploration and conversation cards.
Peer support volunteers, who are trained in basic peer supporting techniques will also be present to provide a listening ear to those who need it.
Project Re:ground’s booth will be stationed at Somerset Youth Park, Container #6, on Dec 10 and 11 from 2pm to 9pm on both days. No registration is required.
3. Join the first evening puzzle hunt at Changi Jurassic Mile

The first evening puzzle hunt organised as part of the Jurassic Mile light-up 2022, will be held along the Changi Airport Park Connector at Changi Jurassic Mile on Dec 10 from 5pm.
The puzzle hunt race will be 3.5km geo-location-based, which requires participants to navigate five zones and explore and unlock over 30 checkpoints on a race application, with festive neon lights set up along the trail.
The Jurassic Mile light-up and Changi Airport Connector is also lit up for the festive season, which is free for all to access.

4. Enjoy light displays, live music, food stalls at this year’s Great Christmas Village at Orchard

The Great Christmas Village returns after a two-year hiatus as part of the Christmas on A Great Street event.
Situated at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, the village features a brand-new all-white carousel taking centre-stage, a licensed character Inflatable Bouncer and rides such as the Samba Balloon, Red Swing, Pirate Ship, Trackless Train and Teacups.
You can also look forward to food stalls and live music performances. The village will be running till Jan 2, 2023.
5. Groove to some tunes at the Majulah Holiday Special concert

Also in conjunction with youth festival Somerfest, Zendyll Music Agency, will hold the Majulah Holiday Special concert on Dec 10 from 7.30pm onwards at the Somerset Youth Park.
The Christmas-style concert will feature several Singaporean vocalists, including Angelo, LAYYI, Dominic Chin, Marian Carmel, and Benjamin Kheng.
Besides the musical performances, Majulah Holiday Special will also see a collaboration with alcoholic sparkling beverage manufacturer JIGGY exclusively for VIP guests, and activities including a special giveaway.
