As we wrap up the year, the Christmas festivities continue with exciting line-ups and Instagrammable photo spots.

Here are five things to do this weekend (Dec 17-19):

1. Hop onto a pink train at Orchard

Looking for Instagrammable Christmas spots to take nice pictures with your loved ones? Then  Orchard Central might be a good place to start!

As part of the year-end decorations, the main attraction of the shopping mall is a vibrant pink train decorated with stacks of presents, suitcases, and a small Christmas tree.

Additionally, the mall’s outdoor escalator is also transformed into a conveyor belt adorned with wrapped presents, adding to the overall festive mood!

2. Stroll under beautiful lights

Another great year-end photo opportunity lies in the heart of Marina Bay with four beautiful light installations set up as part of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2022. The lights represent the spirits of creativity and hopefulness for the upcoming new year.

The lights will turn on every night from 8pm to 10.30pm until Dec 31, so hurry snap a photo to update your gram before it’s too late!

3. Eat a Christmas curry puff

If you’re still not in the festive mood, maybe eating Old Chang Kee’s new puff might help!

Named the Xmas’O, it is a Christmas tree-shaped puff with creamy chicken mushroom filling that launched earlier this month.

It is sold at all Old Chang Kee outlets and delivery platforms for S$2 per piece until Christmas Day on a daily while-stocks-last basis.

4. Ride the new SkyHelix

Singapore’s highest open-air panoramic ride opens at the Imbiah Lookout zone in Sentosa this weekend and it’s looking to be quite the banger!

The SkyHelix is 40m tall, and guests get to experience seating in an open-air gondola that gently rotates as it ascends to a height of 79m above sea level. Each ride takes approximately 12 minutes in total, including 10 minutes of rotation at the peak. An attraction host will join guests on ride to ensure safety protocols are adhered to.

SkyHelix Sentosa is located at 41 Imbiah Road, Singapore 099707, and opens from 10am – 9:30pm, daily (last admission at 9pm).

5. Watch Spider-man: No Way Home

The highly anticipated Spider-man: No Way Home dropped in cinemas earlier this week and if you haven’t caught it yet, this weekend might just be the best time to do so before all the spoilers appear online.

The movie is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and the storyline continues with Peter Parker asking Dr. Stephen Stran to make his identity as Spider-Man a secret again with magic. The show stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon and Jamie Foxx as the main cast.
