If you’re active on TikTok, you may have seen a few videos about thrifting at Lucky Plaza

Thrifting can be a fulfilling experience, but it can get overwhelming when the popular stores are crowded with people grabbing clothes off the racks and leaving the store in a mess.

If you wish to avoid the regular crowd at popular thrift shops in the central area, here are five thrift shops around Singapore that you can visit!

1. Society of Saint Vincent De Paul shop

Just a 10-minute walk from Aljunied MRT Station, the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul (SSVP) shop is run by volunteers under a social enterprise of the SSVP charity.

The store offers a wide array of smart casual clothes for men, women and children.

Tucked away at the back of the SSVP shop are boxes of clothes that cost between $1 to $25.

100 per cent of the proceeds from the shop will be donated to help the SSVP’s beneficiaries, including the poor, through their charity programmes.
