Go beyond Lucky Plaza for your next thrifting adventure.
If you’re active on TikTok, you may have seen a few videos about thrifting at Lucky Plaza.
Thrifting can be a fulfilling experience, but it can get overwhelming when the popular stores are crowded with people grabbing clothes off the racks and leaving the store in a mess.
If you wish to avoid the regular crowd at popular thrift shops in the central area, here are five thrift shops around Singapore that you can visit!
Just a 10-minute walk from Aljunied MRT Station, the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul (SSVP) shop is run by volunteers under a social enterprise of the SSVP charity.
The store offers a wide array of smart casual clothes for men, women and children.
Tucked away at the back of the SSVP shop are boxes of clothes that cost between $1 to $25.
100 per cent of the proceeds from the shop will be donated to help the SSVP’s beneficiaries, including the poor, through their charity programmes.

You will find that the tops and bottoms there are reasonably priced, with a starting price of $3. Do note that the branded and vintage items may cost more.

A small and cosy store, Threadlightly offers both secondhand items and reworked apparels such as tie dye t-shirts. You can also find dainty accessories crafted by small local businesses, including wackywears.
As Threadlightly is open to donations, you can get a 10 per cent discount voucher if you donate two regular-sized shopping bags worth of clothes.
