The first water bike service in Singapore is set to launch on Oct 2 at Pasir Ris Park.

The water bike functions similarly to a regular bike with users having to pedal to generate movement. Consisting of a lightweight frame, the bike is mounted on two floats, allowing users to “cycle” on water.

This family-friendly exercise is touted to be a novel way to enjoy nature in an environmentally-conscious way, without getting wet. The bike can reach a speed of up to 15km/h on water.

The lightweight bike is easy to maneuver and requires no balancing skill nor prior experience. The Waterbike Singapore staff will brief users with a safety induction before you take sail.

To ensure safety, the water bike rentals come with life jackets, walkie talkies and a dry storage bag for your belongings.

Rental will be available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 5pm and you can make your bookings here

The rental rates start from $30 for an hour, $50 for two, $60 for three and $80 for four.
