FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2023 to be held at Sports Hub from Mar 29 to Apr 2
Tickets are now on sale.
The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3×3 Asia Cup will be held at the Singapore Sports Hub for the first time, from Mar 29 to Apr 2.
Teams will compete at the OCBC Square in the sixth edition of the tournament, and tickets are now on sale at the Sports Hub’s website.
A standard ticket costs $10, while a concession ticket (for those aged 18 and below or 55 and above) costs $5. A single-day pass for the first two days of the competition costs $15, while a single-day pass for the last three days of the competition costs $20.
Winners of the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2023 will qualify for one of the FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournaments which take place next year.
The Olympics will be held in Paris in 2024.
Last year’s FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup, held at the picturesque Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza, featured a record 30 men’s and 23 women’s teams.
The men’s competition was won by Australia, while the women’s competition was won by China. Over 4,000 spectators attended the five-day competition.
This year’s 3×3 Asia Cup is the first of three editions that will be held in Singapore as part of a deal between Sport Singapore and FIBA.
The 3×3 is a format inspired by several forms of street basketball played worldwide. It was played for the first time in international competition at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore, and made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
