Each Singaporean household will receive 10 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) kits from Jul 18, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Monday (Jun 27).

This will be the the third nationwide distribution since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The distribution comes amid the rise in COVID-19 cases in Singapore, driven by the latest sub-variants, BA.4 and BA.5.

Over the past week alone, the BA.5 variant is estimated to have contributed to 40 per cent of all cases in Singapore.

In order to remain well-protected against the latest sub-variants, MOH urged those aged 80 and above to get their second booster shot.

Mobile Vaccination Teams (MVTs) will be deployed at selected Residents’ Committee Centres at residential blocks and Community Centres for two days at a time to make getting a booster even more convenient.

MOH also encourages eligible Singaporeans to complete their primary series vaccination and at least their first booster shot as soon as they can.

The public can receive their shots by walking into any of the 10 Joint Testing and Vaccination Centres (JTVCs) located across the island.

Alternatively, you may also book an appointment for your booster vaccination at the JVTCs or polyclinics via the SMS invitation that is sent five months after the second dose of the vaccine.
