Esplanade’s Baybeats Budding Programmes sign-ups are now open
The Baybeats Budding Programmes will help budding musicians, writers and photographers to hone their skills and be part of the Baybeats music festival.
Are you an aspiring band musician, or someone who wants to write and take photos of a music festival?
Singapore’s annual music festival Baybeats, presented by Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, is welcoming aspiring bands, writers and photographers for their Baybeats Budding Programmes.
The programmes are intended to help those with a passion for music – be it performing or providing media coverage – to hone their skills and eventually be a part of Baybeats 2021.
For budding bands, the Budding Baybeats Band programme offers them a space to sharpen their skills under the guidance of music veterans and showcase their music on a well-known platform.
Bands who have not more than eight members and have yet to perform with Baybeats are welcome to apply.
Budding photographers and writers between the ages of 18 to 30 with a keen interest in music are also welcome to join. They will undergo training and eventually provide editorial and social media coverage for Baybeats 2021.
Those who wish to be photographers must have their own professional cameras, although no prior training or experience is needed for photographers and writers.
The submission deadline for Baybeats Budding Programmes is on Aug 1, 11.59 pm. You can sign up here.
